I'm glad that you at least have a starting point now Lyn. Take care.

Hi guys Smile

Thank you again for your posts; it's great to have input from others, it really does help with the thought processes! Last Monday I felt that I'd had a whole lot of considerations thrown my way and just where to start sorting those was rather overwhelming!

I now have the results of the Rheumatoid Factor which is showing as 'weakly positive', apparently it has shown as this before Confused , news to me!! Levels of antibodies have always been quite low, I'm told, even when ESR and CRP were over 200. Waiting on the anti-CCP now but the nurse feels that this will come back 'positive'. My days of being sero-negative look like they could be nearly over!

I think foremost, and as Jenni pointed out, the knee(s) requires attention. The pain and inflammation coming from this is causing my whole system to revolt so once the knee is replaced hopefully things will settle down again. The rheumatologist is looking to put me on Rituximab (if the bloods agree!) and whilst I accept the drug has made a huge difference to many I'm a little reluctant to venture down this route at this stage when the Enbrel does still work. I might ask if I can just try a low dose of MTX with the Enbrel and if it doesn't do the job accept it has to be Rituximab. I would think differently if the Enbrel wasn't still working!

I'm down to 7.5mg of prednisolone and things still seem settled so hopefully this will stave off further flares until we can move forward with the plan! Just need to ditch the Naproxen ... somehow Huh

P.S. Jean, I knew I should've stopped after the 4 'reds' but you know how it is ... once you get the corks out ... Wink
My son, Ian, completed the BUPA Great North Run on 15th September running for the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS). You can read his story at http://www.justgiving.com/ianlukewilson

By heck Lyn you're having quite a journey lass!
I would wholeheartedly urge you to tell them what YOU would like to do-(I did even tho they wanted to put me on Rituximab) and it worked for me.
YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

You're an inspiration to be so positive Lyn. I'm sure that by the time you get your appointment you will be doing as Julie suggests!

Am just loving the new look darling!
